We have created our site, www.woodcock.com, to enable us to share our interest and birdwatching experience over the last 15 years in Spain and Portugal, and more recently in the 10 acres of woodland we call Woodcock Wood.

The articles and blogs encompass our observations, photos and the research we undertake on particular bird species.

Research perhaps is rather too fine a word to use, but whenever we spend time watching a particular species there are always questions that come to mind, even on birds we are familiar with. We try to answer the questions, at least to our satisfaction.

It is always fascinating information that comes to light – information that goes to emphasise just how extraordinary birds are, and it is satisfying to share this with others. That is what the site is about.
